L’Arca Community in Catalonia
At Els Avets de Moià, we continue to strive and care for our community so that everyone can have a dignified life in a better world.
The Els Avets Community is a non-profit organization dedicated to the comprehensive care of adults with intellectual disabilities. We offer people with disabilities a dignified place to live and work where they can enjoy a high quality of life. Together, whether or not we have an intellectual disability, we share our lives in communities within an international federation.
The various services we offer at the Els Avets Community are focused on helping people with intellectual disabilities develop vocational and social skills, enhancing their autonomy and interpersonal relationships.
Volunteering is one of the foundations of L’Arca communities, where coexistence and relationships between people with and without intellectual disabilities are essential, and differences become more blurred than in other contexts.
In our little shop, you will find products carefully made by people with intellectual disabilities who participate in the occupational therapy workshops of the Els Avets Community.
Each product is unique and holds a very special social value, just like the people who make them.
